Oceanhorn GDC and Wallpaper!
Hi everyone! We showed Oceanhorn for Touch Arcade and a small gameplay capture can be watched on Touch Arcade's youtube channel. We got some pretty fantastic feedback from gamers around the world. It felt good to show something more recent, but remember that this couple of minutes of gameplay is only a glimpse of things to come!
During the past month or so we have been concentrating on world map gameplay, boss fights and on the main quest itself. We are almost ready to show you some more of that world map gameplay, but not yet. Before that, I would like to share an Oceanhorn wallpaper with you!

ReplyDeleteHi. Is it possible to play this game on my iPhone 4? Hopefully! :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are having problems culling potential shadow casters. Let me know if you need a quick fix.
ReplyDeleteHi Doug. Shadows are still work in progress, what you saw there is outcome of our quick and dirty method to shrink shadow cast area.
DeleteWe are looking for a cost efficient way to have a nice blur on shadows, so in the meanwhile, we preferred to show sharp shadows in this build instead.
Thanks for stepping up Doug! :)
OMG I want this! I hope this is not a freemium... if its a paid game is it in the high price range in the middle priced or low priced? is this a huge game? it looked big so it will have lots of hours of gameplay?
ReplyDeleteoops forgot is this universal, can it run on any iPad device?
ReplyDeleteSUPERB! I cant wait. Instabuy.
ReplyDeleteI have been waiting for this game for what feels like forever now.. Hope i don't have toooo much longer to wait. Seriously impressive.
ReplyDeleteI have a suggestion I hope you'll find interesting. Have you considered releasing a demo of the game? This would be not only to raise funds to continue development (thereby further securing your company's future), but would also reach a large number of potential customers who would then be looking for your full release. Giving your loyal fans who've been following Oceanhorn from the beginning a taste of what's to come wouldn't hurt either.
ReplyDeleteI sorta disagree. An RPG such as this requires a full play through of the plot to truly appreciate it. Demos would be like watching a show, and having to wait to actually enjoy the adventure. I think that even if it takes a long time, it'll be a lot better as a full game...
DeleteI noticed at the end of the video you have a problem with working memory (RAM). Will this game be released only for the latest generation?
ReplyDeleteHi Mehmet! I wonder what you mean, as far as I know - we don't have RAM problems. :) - maybe you're onto some hidden bug, or your eye caught something that came from video editing.
DeleteSorry.I do not know that.I am not a programmer and certainly not as good as you and your Team.In Oceanhorn probably infected Very much work.I expect the game since the beginning. And I already know that this game is Already there very good.Is more information about the game? A approximate date of the publication or on which devices running the game?
ReplyDeletecamera is too close but other then that it looks great, shame we have play it a touchscreen tho. hope you port too the ouya console, that way u have both a android and a console release on the same port.
ReplyDeletePlease, spanish text. You´ve got a great work here. The Spanish Community is important in the World, but so many of them don´t understand all the words in english.
ReplyDeleteMust have for your game.
